Fall is here - it's Pumpkin Fest

We had a fun time in Milford last weekend at the annual pumpkin fest. The kids had fun painting pumpkins, getting their faces painted, watching a pumpkin catapult, and especially getting soaked by the firetruck hose. It was a cooker on Saturday... probably the last HOT day of the year! (We are back down to the 60's today.)

Bella, Ellie & Ava were quick at scheming up another sleepover, so Bella stayed over at Brad & Shelley's on Sat. night. Hope she didn't terrorize their puppies too much!

Kennebunk & Kennebunkport

Carl & Sue left our place this morning... it's quiet and there's "nothing to do" around here today! So I took the kids to story time in Newfields this morning and stopped by the house to pick out some garage doors. The inside walls are all up and the stairs are getting constructed. Our front doors are in the garage (doesn't sound right does it!), and windows should arrive within a few days. Feels different walking around it now. After a trip to the park, it was to bed early tonight... (ha!)
David's new little song: "A B C D H R G, how I wonder what you are." He repeats it over and over exactly the same each time :) At least he knows his tunes! ....and then he counts for hide & seek.... "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 14 16, ready here me comes."
Here are some pics from our trip to Kennebunkport yesterday. It was foggy out on the ocean and made pictures quaint & eerie. We walked around the seacoast village and made a stop at the Clam Shack for some 'chowda'.

Weddings & Fairs

Whew, it's been a busy few days! Last Thursday we went to the Deerfield, NH fair - it's a very large fair not far from us. The kids had fun on the rides, and Mike & I and Kate had fun sampling all the typical fair foods; fried dough, apple crisp, hotdogs & french fries... we watched horse pulls, and the kids were excited to see & pet many animals. Their favourite part? ...the baby piglets!

....next we took off on Friday morning for New Jersey. My cousin Jeff was getting married to his NJ girl, Erin. After a long, long, long, long, long ride down, we finally arrived at the hotel to be greeted by mom & dad, all my siblings and extended family. Was fun to see everyone and get together. Saturday was a gorgeous day for Erin & Jeff, they had a beautiful wedding... as you can see...
