Ahhhh, those beach days...

Holly and the Durango boys came over for a wee visit before we all headed to the beach for a sunshine-filled day!

Miss Holly...

Tractors, Trains and ... Golf!

We recently took the kids one evening out to a mini-putt course... was interesting... the concept wasn't quite there yet!
trying her hardest...
not liking the rules of the game....heavy concentration, along with 29 strokes
Then around the golf course on a train...
It sure was fun test driving tractors !

I've been tagged...

passed on by Shelley...a blogger & a friend

*Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

1. I should be a weather wo-man, I can predict a high pressure storm coming with my head(ache).

2. I know I'm gonna wish I did more with my kids while they were young... school is about to start and I've got regrets already.

3. I love being able to fly around when we can... it's a cool perk. But there again, we wish we made more use of it.... Paris, Rome, London... what's stopping us??

4. I don't like our pet bunny.

5. I love to cook but hate to clean up after the mess... I wish I had a maid!

6. I love it when people just stop by. As kids we used to hop in the car and just drive around and when we were near someones house, we just stopped in for a visit. I loved that! I wish I knew if we could do that today!

7. I wish we lived closer to family...

I tag Cathy C., Mom, A. Shirley, Mamie, Jenn K., Gayle D., Sue H.

First couple weeks of August

So here we are to the middle of August already... the company has seemed to slow down, but life hasn't! We had been to convention, started swimming lessons, finished painting the house, the kids had a couple of their little friends come to visit, and the kids have had some illness... the yucky part! And it's been raining... sound familiar to anyone? Good year to plant our grass, that's about all I can say about that!

We've been trying to make the most of our last few weeks of summer... September means school... I'm not ready for this!!! Bella continues to comfort me and tell me that she'll be ok, and she's only gone for a little bit, and she'll come home every night. David seems to think he's going too. Kate is turning into a little 2 year old monster. She screams at everybody and anything to get what she wants.. threatens us with biting and bodyslams. Ok, maybe it's not that bad, but she's definately hit the 2 year mark! She wasn't always so bolsterous and overbearing... oh wait, yes she was...
