Our Trip to Canada

Well we made it home on Sunday night. It was a good trip home despite the fact that Mike's flight got cancelled and was unable to help me with the drive! The kids really did quite well with the 12 hour day even though they only slept for 2 hours of it... yes, only 2 hours!!

We had a great, great time. It was wonderful to be at Dunnville again and see a bunch of family and some of our friends. It always goes by so fast, and you want to do more and see more people, but time is never long enough. We were able to spend some time with my sister & family in Dunnville which was very special too. After spending clean up day on Monday, we picked Mike up from the airport in Buffalo and headed to grandma & grandpa's. Life is never boring on the farm... we got up close & personal with kitten's, bunny's, puppy, baby birds, a raccoon and a snapping turtle! The kids started to cry 2 days before it was time to leave... they thought it was pretty fun at grandma & grandpa's.

First stop, Dunnville convention... here is Bella with her friend Mairi
and Kate with Ella
and my friend Miss Amy
and Jessie with Lucas
David & Isaac - they have a blast trying to figure out how to share everything!

It was a hot one!
Hanging out by the trailer... Mike, Graham, Jackie & Aunt Sue. Didn't get pictures of my other nieces that were there... Rachel, Deborah, Alyssa, Anna & Shannon... or Andrew & Stephen!
Bella with her friend Emilia
My sister Cathy & friend Paula
Miss Kate getting refreshed
my nephew Johnny & Bella... (he'd probably like y'all to know he's single!)
Jackie & Graham
and Miss Charlotte (niece)
Monday it was back to the grounds for clean up... the kids had a blast playing under the tent before and while it was going down
and another hot day deserves anther ice cream cone... Emilia and David
Kate trying to get it all down at once
....and she didn't quite make it... the sun won!
then the pool went up ...getting refreshed after working so hard at cleanup day!
We then took a quick trip by Niagara Falls before driving down to mom & dad's
...but not without stopping by at Tim Horton's first
and a peak through the candy store
and a quick motorcycle ride
and why not a pony ride too!
Grandma & Grandpa's
So first things first... why not let the "kids" run through the water in the bean field...
Listening to one of many stories...

A trip to the beach (Lake Huron)

daddy building some ancient warrior thingy
and what's a trip to the farm without a few tractor rides?
...and a visit from great grandma Bobbie who loves to charm us with her skills on the piano (she's 91!)
and hugs from great Aunt Shirley
and a 4 generation picture!
a few more 4-wheeler rides from dad
lots of hugs & squeezes for grandpa's new kittens
the baby birds that Bella 'saved'. She saw one on the ground under the tree. It had fallen out, so we rescued it and put it back in it's nest...
Never a dull moment... a raccoon caught in grandpa's trap

of course grandpa had to show the kids a snapping turtle he found while he was spraying the beans... no one dared get too close after grandpa showed them how fast and 'snappy' he could be!
playing on some sort of invention made by grandpa
and more 4-wheeler rides... "faster grandpa!" ...."slow down Steve!"
and the last morning was a teary goodbye... saying goodbye to grandma & grandpa and to the baby kittens...
