Twinkle, twinkle little star...

I'm lying in bed this morning (Mike got up with David) and I can hear David singing away while he was eating his cereal... "twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what are...you is." Then I roll over cause I hear Kate stirring in her crib, and she's just sitting there grinning at me. Bella crawls into bed awhile later for a little snuggle, and my day started of just great... Oh, it's not always like this. More than likely it's 6:15 a.m. and David is saying "mom, I want cereal, get me my Kashi, I want cereal now, get you out of bed now, I want cereal..." Kate's crying and giving me the 'get me out of this crib' plea. And Bella is crying because David woke her up too early whining about his breakfast.

It's hot today, and this morning we walked down to the park that is nearby, only to find out that we are not allowed to use the 'community' park because summer camp is happening. So for the next 8 weeks, we cannot be there while camp is going on... ba-humbug. Fortunately for us, we hopped into the car and drove to the park in Newfields. It's actually right behind the school that the kids will go to. It was amazing! and it's only 1/2 mile away from where we are building our new house. So in the end, the kids were happy to discover the new park, and we went home and ate hotdogs :)

It's 7:00 p.m. and Mike just swapped a trip around. Instead of flying to Florida and back tomorrow, he is flying out to San Jose tonight and gets home early in the morning. We meet with 'Dave the builder' (as the kids refer to him as) tomorrow and stake out where the house is going!!

Bella's Second Sleepover

So Jody decided that all the girls (ages 4-7) should have one last sleepover tonight since it would be the last time to see Paula before she leaves for Korea. So we could call it the Chung's farewell #3... but we won't. We met Jody at the mall in Manchester this afternoon and David really wanted to go to Braden's house for a sleepover too... so I had to make him happy at the mall. I got him an ice cream cone, he went on a train ride, a carousal ride, bought a bouncy ball, a Happy Meal and got a gumball out of the machine! ...he was satisfied. Kate tagged along and she kept happy with some snacks (no Happy Meal yet). Daddy is flying in from Seattle late tonight so it's just the three of us are hanging out here.

Kate took a few more steps today. David & Kate have fun playing together, it's really cute to watch them. They make each other giggle.

We booked our hotel today for Jackie's wedding. We leave next week for Ontario. Wish it was a little closer - the ride is just long enough for the kids. Why don't we fly? Well it's also a chore to take 3 kids, 3 carseats, luggage & a stoller through the airport. Everytime we drive, we say we'll fly next time, and every time we fly we say we'll drive. Driving is winning out this time.

Bella's First Sleepover

On Saturday night, after the party, Bella stayed over at Breanna's house for her very first sleepover. We were all going over there for the potluck supper, but as soon as we pulled into the driveway Bella says "ok, that's good mom" - I guess she wanted me to let her out at the end of the drive and she'd just trot in on her own. So I park the car and she says "goodbye mom!" I'm like, I'm staying for supper too! Needless to stay, I didn't get that 2:am phone call to say 'come get me'. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Jody & Kevin's. David said he didn't miss her... but after awhile you could sure tell that he did.... I missed her too.

Kate took 4 or 5 steps today! She ventured from the safety of the coffee table and headed to the table (go figure
) before falling on her paded behind. She also is very proud of her patty-cake clapping and gives you that famous Kate grin.

Mike talked to 'Dave the Builder' today, and is meeting with him on Wednesday... it's getting close :)

Farewell party #2

Tonight there was another farewell party/potluck for the Chungs at Cory & Jananne's barn. It gave everyone a chance to say so-long to our friends. It brought back memories for me from a year ago when I left Ontario... my heart went out to them... but I know it will all be good for them once they set up their little home in Korea.

Farewell to Chungs

We had a little farewell evening at Kevin & Jody's tonight for Mark & Yonjung with a bunch of the young families. Shelley & I put together a scrapbook for them with pages from all their friends in this area. They are leaving for Korea this week, and they will be missed a bunch. We have really enjoyed getting to know them over the past year... the kids just love being together.

Fun in the Sun

Enjoyed a fun day in the sun today at Brad & Shelley's and at the pool. Kids had a fun day and fell asleep in the car about 2 minutes after we left. Bella couldn't keep her hands off their new little puppy. Haven't been up to much else - met with our builder this week, and we 'should' be starting as soon as next week... or the next... or the...

I'm posting (below) some recent pictures from the past few weeks, including our trip to Ontario the end of May.

Blah blah blogging

I'm about to start a new blog to try to keep you all up-to-date with our news in NH. You all know how horrible I am at emailing, so I'm 'hoping' I'll do a bit better this way...

We are about to start our new house, so I'll try to keep pictures and status rolling on here. We are estimating it getting started in about 2 weeks. Apartment is getting smaller everyday!
